七月禱告信 July 2009 - Prayer Letter

Jesus went about all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every diseases and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like  sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” [Matt. 9:35-38]

  Greetings in the Lord! Time really flies. Half of 2009 has passed. In May we said farewell to graduating students. Now in July we are planning to welcome new students for the fall semester. Student ministry is very meaningful. After helping a group of students know Christ and equipping them to serve the Lord, immediately they can go back to their own countries or cities to serve. We might miss these many departing brothers and sisters more, but the Lord quickly gives us new students to welcome and lead to Christ. This new school year, most universities in the Midwest are expecting more than the usual number of students. As we travel through many cities in the Midwest to share the gospel, we feel what Jesus felt during His earthly ministry: the harvest truly is plentiful, but the workers are few. Please pray for these new opportunities and for more short-term mission teams to reach out to these new students. Please also pray for more coworkers to add to our long-term team.
